The Doodle Legacy ~ Chapter 27

The heir poll has ended and the Doodle family is back with another chapter. In the last chapter Jack got a cute, blue haired girlfriend. Troy aged up into a serial romantic bad boy and Nayeli was cute and blonde. Laura was busy with work and Louis opened his very own bakery. But what about the heir poll results? We will get to that later on. First up let’s continue with normal legacy living…

This chapter begins with Laura throwing a weenie roast… dressed as a weenie.

Laura: “I hate you.”

I’ve thrown a fair few weenie roasts so far and something has always stopped me from receiving that fancy gold medal such as family members dying, family members catching fire, trash plants catching fire… wait… that’s a new one. There is a trash plant next to the bonfire and it’s on fire?!

Laura: “Run for your lives! We are going to die!”

Random Guest:” Oh my goodness, the smell! The smell of burning trash.”

Joshua: “But I’ve just extinguished the fire and saved the day. Why is everyone running away and not celebrating me being a hero?”

Gregory: “The joys of being the son of a spare my boy. No one cares what you do. Now where was I? Oh yes…mm… nothing like the smell of burnt trash plant whilst I enjoy this burnt hotdog.”

Louis: “Phew! We are all somehow alive. It’s a miracle!”

Joshua: “I extinguished the fire as soon as it started. You were never in any danger.”

Bjorn: “Well I must say this was all rather dangerous and exciting. I think I shall give this party a gold medal.”

Mila: “I quite agree dear, what a splendid afternoon. The Doodles host quite the party.”

Elated from the gold medal Laura threw yet another party that night. It was a costume party at the local bar. The guests look excited for another party and not exhausted at all.

Dressed as a hotdog Jack still got more action than anyone else that night. Louis was far too tired to care. With a smile plastered on his face Louis tried to look like he wasn’t away to pass out from exhaustion…

Until he finally gave up and I found his legs hanging out of a nearby bush. It was the perfect place for a quick nap to keep Louis going.

Back at the party a familiar ghost face showed up. It’s Brian!

“Did you even document my death?”

Of course…

Right now I am documenting the fact that you and your brother Ben have died.

Back at home, after the party, Laura and Louis enjoy some private time together whilst still in costume.

“Maid Louis I see you have missed a spot whilst cleaning my living room. You know I have a busy schedule reaping souls. I don’t have time for mistakes. Perhaps I will have to punish you tonight…”

“Yes m’aam.”

“Meet me outside by the tent in 5 minutes. This house is too busy, I want it to be just you and me.”

Louis: “I simply can’t resist you in that sexy cloak. Come here my lover! ”

“Mum. Dad. Excuse me whilst I go bathe in bleach to cleanse myself of this night. I hope we can all agree we should never, ever talk about this incident again. Goodnight.”

Laura: “Honey… I think we may have emotionally scarred our son.”

Louis: “Uh… yeah. I’m feeling a little emotionally scarred myself if I’m honest. Let’s pretend it never happened and continue as we were.”

The next day brought a visitor to the Doodle household.

Grim Reaper: “Oh I was just floating by the area and thought I would come over to politely request that Laura and Louis STOP USING ME AS ROLE PLAY MATERIAL FOR THEIR WOOHOO LIFE. I’ll be on my way now, I have an embarrassed Sims soul to reap… and no it’s not my own soul. You haven’t embarrassed me that much.”

Indoors Troy was living up to his lazy trait sleeping in his heart covered boxers. It’s all he ever wears when wandering around the house.

A surprise guest arrived to say hello to Troy. It was Megan.

“Hey Troy! I just wanted to come around and personally tell you that I am now a young adult and no longer available to you. Well that’s all, see ya round kid!”

Troy didn’t have time to sulk about Megan’s age up and rejection. It was time for the family to head out for a birthday party and this time it was Lauras!

About 10 seconds before I took this photo I realised I forgot to take a birthday cake. So Laura aged up on the dance floor – oops.

It was around this point I thought Laura was having a nervous breakdown.

Laura: “Oh haha, why ever would you think that darling? I’m now grey with an aching back and you forgot my birthday but really I’m just dandy. No hard feelings at all.”

I didn’t forget your birthday! …just the birthday cake.

Laura: “Tell that to the blue moodlet I’m sporting.”

Determined to show the world that she still had ‘it’, whatever that may be, Laura snuck into the closet with Louis.

Not once, but twice.

 

The next day everyone was recovering from the wild night out for Laura’s birthday when a surprise visitor came round.

“I just popped over to let you know I’m now a young adult.”

Oh joy, another relationship on pause thanks to an age gap.

“Only a slight pause and we can still be friends until he ages up. Jack is the only sim for me. A slight age difference won’t keep us apart.”

Jack’s still in bed recovering from a crazy, elder birthday party but I will pass on the message. I like you Yuki. You and Jack are just too cute together to let a teeny hiccup like this get in the way.

Troy on the other hand was not going to wait around to age up for Megan. He heads out with Max Villarreal to find some ladies.

Troy: “There are plenty more fish in the sea, it’s not all about Megan or Elsa.”

Max Villarreal: “Is this really the type of fish you want to go for? We should be hunting for sexy catfish and feisty lionfish. Not tuna.”

Troy: “Oh come on, she isn’t that bad.”

Max: “She is wearing leggings, socks and sandals. Even I know that isn’t cool.”

Troy: “So she needs a little makeover. Serial Romantics can’t be fussy in this game.”

Troy earns another notch in his serial romantic aspiration.

Troy didn’t hang around Miss Leggingssocksandsandals for long as he had a birthday party to attend. It’s Nayelis birthday this time and she is about to become a beautiful teen.

All of the guests headed straight for the pool. The first couple to catch my eye were Jack and Yuki because even though they can only be friendly (Yuki is now a young adult and Jack is still a teen) they both continued to stare at each other with puppy dog, love filled eyes.

Yuki Behr! He is a teenager, you should know better!

Jack hopped out of the pool, changed out of his swimwear and my eyes nearly popped out. Okay I may be exaggerating but I was surprised. I have no idea how this happened. It certainly wasn’t me because all pink romantic things are gone from the social interaction bars. Obviously these two are true love, meant to be and not even the computer game rules can keep them apart.

Tut tut Miss Behr.

“I told you Jack was the only sim for me.”

I always thought it would be Troy breaking the rules, not you two.

Not that that means Troy wasn’t also breaking the rules. Troy spent a good deal of the party hanging out with the renegades to cause some mischief in the bathrooms. Max Villareal, the leader, was on guard duty.

After a quick makeout session with his older woman Jack was feeling fairly happy with himself. I am not sure the rest of the guests were as happy when he showed off his good mood by dive bombing back into the pool.

Louis: “That’s my boy.”

Laura: “Ugh does he know how long it takes to style this bob?”

As the evening wore on the guests headed into the bar to enjoy some cocktails and dancing. Troy was on the prowl for romantic pursuits.

“Where are all the hot, young teens at? I’m ready for some loving. I’m fed up of Jack getting all the action at family parties.”

Yeah even when he technically shouldn’t be allowed to.

Meanwhile the actual star of this birthday party was hanging out with her child friends in the pool.

It was soon time for Nayeli to blow out her candles. Lots of confetti was thrown by the 3 guests who actually bothered to stand and celebrate. Thank goodness for cousins.

Aw and that’s it for generation 6, all the kids are grown up and they are all so pretty. Laura and Louis did good.

Nayeli grew up with the loner trait, which is a new trait for the Doodles. She rolled the freelance botanist aspiration.

I can’t help but wonder why the guy in the back of the picture is so mad? I bet it was something to do with Troy and the renegades.

“Oh sweetheart you really lucked out not being part of this whole heir poll thing. Now you get to live forever in spare blis- oh nevermind she has aging on for the neighbourhood. Well at least you get to live your life in peace.”

Hey I give my spares a luxury home too!

Back at the legacy household Nayeli received a little makeover to match her loner, geeky self. She is adorable! It’s such a shame I’m playing the equality rule in this legacy.

After the birthday party Troy decided he wanted some food, food cooked on the stove.

Agh you idiot Troy! I mean it’s not a disaster if you die because the legacy is going to keep going without you but that doesn’t mean you can just go and set yourself on fire!

Troy: “Is this your way of telling me I am not heir?”

I…uh…you are still alive, hurrah!

Troy:”Why would they pick the geeky, goody two shoes over the hot, sexy badboy?!”

Well I guess we have already seen a lot of insane, mean sims in this legacy. Maybe it’s time for a nice sim to take charge. Please don’t sulk over this.

Troy: “It’s Nayelis birthday and I will sulk if I want to.”

Nayeli: “Ugh at least you had a chance at being heir. Dad I already put the fire out, you can stop that now.”

Louis: “Don’t worry kids, Dad has got this fire under control.”

Laura and Jack: “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES. WE ARE GOING TO DIE AGAIN!”

Well I guess it’s out now, you chose Jack as heir!

Secretly I was kind of routing for Jack. It will be nice to play a heir with good traits for once and Jack and Yuki make the cutest couple.

Jack is pretty close to becoming a young adult but first up we have a different birthday party. It’s time for Louis to become an elder.

Laura is of course the host for the party. This time she throws a quiet, cosy dinner party and prepares the food herself. I’ve found caterers to be pretty useless so far, though it may be my style of kitchen stopping them from making meals.

Yuki Behr!

Can’t you keep your paws off him for one more sim day?

Look no romance allowed for these two and yet somehow Yuki finds a way to break the rules.

Okay who am I kidding I love that they are still totally in love despite the age gap. It makes me feel like they are meant to be. One of the things I miss from sims 2 is the bolt system which let me know if sims are attracted to each other.

After the meal the guests enjoyed some dancing. Some dance moves were a bit more out there than others. Personal space bubbles mean nothing to Louis.

Laura: “Eh, he aged up alright I guess.”

Louis: “Oh man I really, reeally need to pee.”

Troy: “Ah, it sure does feel good to be young with a bladder of steel.”

Another night, another party. The fun just doesn’t stop in the Doodle household. This time the gang ventured out to the abandoned ruins in Windenburg to throw Jack a birthday party.

Laura hired a professional DJ for the party and she really got the crowd going. Laura was having the time of her life.

For once there was actually a good handful of the guests around the cake to celebrate Jack becoming a young adult. Look at all that confetti!

Jack rolled the perfectionist trait.

As soon as Jack aged up he declared his true love for Yuki Behr.

Poor Troy was just stood in the back looking real sad. I think deep down he doesn’t want loads of girls, he just wants love.

Unfortunately the party had to come to end. Naturally Laura was the last sim standing.

Jack and Yuki snuck away at the end of the party. Jack had an important question and the bluffs seemed like the perfect place for him to ask it.

I’ll take that happy response from Yuki as a yes. D’aw my heart.

Straight after accepting the proposal Yuki started sprinting away, which had me a little worried, however she was just running to dive into the pool.

I say dive but it was more of a belly flop…

Jack was fast to join Yuki in the pool and things got a little x-rated for the sims…

Okay so maybe a lot x-rated. Thank goodness for pixels!

Yikes we all know what’s going on in those bushes! Perhaps it’s time to leave the happy couple in peace and end the chapter here.

The Doodle Legacy ~ Chapter 26

I have a week off work which means an update for the Doodles! Last chapter included the birth and aging up of Nayeli into a cute blonde baby, Troy having fun with the league of adventurers and Jack becoming a teen. Laura continued throwing and attending parties whilst Louis spent time with the kids and baked cakes.

Before we get started here is a cute photo of Troy playing superman. It was about this time I discovered kids could play in closets and it’s adorable.

“Aw man, this wind is s-so strong.”

Last chapter Jack met Yuki Behr at the library. It was love at first sight, well for him at least. When he found out she was part of the Avant Gardes club he had to join. It worked out quite nicely because I was going to make him join that club anyway.

“Hey! You are the guy from the library right?”

“Yeah, you said I should join the Avant Gardes so here I am. If that is okay?”

“Of course! Come and meet the rest of the guys. I bet you will fit right in.”

Even though there were plenty of seats Jack decided to sit on the floor to study with his new study club. I think he just wants to be as close as possible to Yuki.

None of the members of the club picked up on Jacks stalker potential and he got on really well with everyone. It was a successful outing.

He even got a hug from Yuki on the way out.

“I have a feeling we will be great friends Jack!”

“Doh.”

Back at home Louis had started his own club, a club dedicated to baking. I even gave them matching chef outfits hehe.

Brandi Doodle is part of the club and so is the random Louis met at one of Laura’s many parties. Louis baking skill was coming along nicely and with the children all grown up I figured it was time for a new project.

Welcome to Louis’ very own bakery! It’s a cute little shop in Windenburg which I built but pretty much just copied from the neighbours to make it fit into the surroundings.

It’s quite small at the moment with just one display counter of lovely baked goods until I figure out how to actually run a bakery.

Laura has her very own microphone in the shop to entertain the customers.

Jack was spending a lot of time with the Avant Gardes. Although Jack and Yuki were good friends no romance had blossomed yet.

Jack: “Hey Hugo, I was just wondering if you think the bluffs would be a good place to take someone… you know if you wanted to be more than good friends. Do you think?”

Hugo: “Oh… oh… um Jack I’m flattered but I have a girlfriend. You know I really – I just see you as a frie-”

“What? I was talking about Yuki.”

Hugo: “Oh. Ha. Sorry that’s awkward. I just thought… maybe you were…”

Jack: “Just because I like pastels doesn’t mean I am gay Hugo!”

Hugo: “Yeah… sorry. It would be totally cool if you were though. So Yuki?”

Jack: “Not that there is anything wrong with being gay! I just really like Yuki and want to point out that anyone can be gay or not gay it’s not decided by the shade of your jumper.”

Hugo: “This is getting too deep, maybe we should keep it light hearted. Well I would suggest you try using that romantic trait of yours, do something nice and ask her out. We’ve been friends for a while and Yuki has always been shy so you should probably make the first move if you want something to happen.”

“You know what? You are right Hugo. I just need to be brave and romantic and ask her out. What is the worst that can happen? Thanks Hugo!”

“Yuki this may seem a bit out of the blue but I’ve been feeling this way for a while… I think you are the most beautiful sim I’ve ever seen. I bought this for you.”

“Oh Jack, it’s lovely. I’m so glad you asked. I was worried you never would… I wanted to ask you out but I was nervous. Gosh you haven’t even asked me out yet.” Yuki blushed.

“Well… would you like to go out on a date with me?”

“Of course!”

Jack took Yuki to the bluffs, it’s a beautiful lot with a lovely view. Perfect for a first date. Now that they had both revealed their nerves about the whole asking each other out things got a lot easier.

They lit a bonfire and moved in close together to watch the flames.

Aw man. They are just so adorable together, I took so many photos.

Shipname Yack? Or Juki? I’m not good at these. The shipname doesn’t match how adorable they are together.

Then they moved over to the pond. It was beside the pond that Jack and Yuki shared their very first kiss and I’m sure it won’t be their last.

Jack and Yuki had the perfect date. They cuddled by the fire, giggled on some stone seats, played in the pond, Jack showed off with a swan dive. By the end of the date Jack had worked up the courage to ask Yuki to be his girlfriend.

Yuki happily answered his question with an enthusiastic yes!

By the time Jack got home it was daylight. Laura appeared at the front door to congratulate Jack on his successful date and new girlfriend.

“We will have to start inviting her to the family parties Jack!”

“Ugh mummmm.”

Having missed out on quite a bit of sleep Jack was exhausted. He didn’t even make it indoors.

The next day meant back to business for Louis. So far the bakery has been running quite well but it’s early days. Laura continues to perform her routines but the majority of the customers are too busy looking at the delicious homemade cakes.

So Laura decides to help out Louis by charming the customers into buying cakes. She really looks the part in her comedians work outfit.

“Every single baked good in this shop is homemade by my gorgeous husband Louis. I’ve eaten my fair share of his cookies and you just have to try them!”

I stuck a chess table in the corner of the bakery so Nayeli spends her time forcing customers to play with her. Today it’s her cousin Kayleigh.

“I just came in here for a donut.”

“You can go eat your donut once we are finished.”

Meanwhile in the other corner Jack and his new girlfriend Yuki make out in front of his mum and dad.

Laura: “Ah… young love.”

Louis: “I’m trying not to care – as long as they don’t scare off the customers with their very public displays of affection.”

When they got home Troy completed the rambunctious scamp aspiration, and just in time too because it’s his birthday!

It’s a pool party this time so the guests all head out to the patio where Louis is whipping up some burgers. The usual guests are invited as well as the league of adventurers.

Troy’s best friend Elsa is of course at the party. They spend their time cackling and giggling, reminiscing over pranks they played at school. They are true partners in crime.

For once I did actually get a good handful of guests into the pool. In previous attempts at a pool party the guests wandered around the house staying as far away from the water as possible.

The Doodle family are big fans of dancing.

Jack: “Eek… Dad did you have to wear the world’s smallest pair of speedos to your sons birthday party?”

Louis: “What are you talking about? They are a perfect fit. They make me feel really good about myself son. I can buy you a pair the next time we go shopping if you like?”

“Uh… that’s okay. I’ll pass.”

Louis, Jack and Nayeli gathered around the cake to wish Troy a happy birthday. Laura was still dancing by the stereo but she eventually made her way over.

Are you wearing eyeliner?

“It really makes my eyes pop. Good for the ladies y’know?”

Troy grew up a little differently to how I imagined. He rolled the insane trait and the serial romantic aspiration. Oh joy.

“Where all the hot young teens at?”

Here he is after a little makeover. I decided to keep the eyeliner, it kind of suits him actually. I think he could pass for a renegade after all.

“Girls love the leather jacket. Everyone knows the ladies love a bad boy.”

You have really taken a different direction to what I was expecting.

Troy attends his very first renegade outing. A group of teenagers and young adults being led by a child?! Why is Max the leader??

Max: “Troy stop taking selfies. We’ve got business to attend to.”

Oh Troy. Elsa would be so disappointed.

“What? It’s not harming anyone. Just a bit of fun. I just want to fit in. Megan is super hot so I need to impress her tonight.”

The gang then heads to the pool for a nighttime dip. In case you were wondering Megan is the pretty redhead.

They both start making flirty faces at each other. I bet this relationship is going to go swimmingly. They can bond whilst they sabotage toilets together. How romantic.

Troy exchanges numbers with Megan and they schedule a date for the following night so they can be alone.

Whilst Troy seduces Megan in the pool, Jack and Yuki head on another date. This time Yuki invites Jack out to the nightclub for some dancing. Yuki appears to be impressed with Jack’s dance moves.

At the nightclub I spotted a familiar face. It’s Jack’s grandad Titus! I had no idea the ghosts could go out like this. It’s pretty cool.

Yuki was so impressed with Jack’s dancing she decided to introduce him to the closet.

Things got a little steamy…

Random Guy: “Bom chicka wah wah…”

“Wow…oh my… Yuki that was… incredible.”

The following day it was time for Troy’s very first date.

Just as he arrives to the Bluff he receives a text message. It’s Elsa’s birthday party. Should he stay with his date or bail for Elsa’s birthday?

Elsa is his best friend. Of course he bailed on the date.

Elsa: “God do you have to wear that stupid suit? The shine is getting in my eyes.”

Troy: “Nice to see you too munchkin. I take it you missed me then?”

Elsa: “No. I totally don’t care you ditched me for the Renegades.”

Troy: “I’m sorry Elsa. I know I am an idiot.”

Elsa: “Yeah you are. In a nice way of course.”

Troy: “So where is everyone?”

Elsa: “It’s just you, me, my dad and my mum. Is that alright?”

Troy: “Uh… let me message some friends. It’s your teenage birthday, it has to be special.”

The guests gather around to see Elsa grown up.

Troy: “It’s so cool you are a teenager now too Elsa. We can totally hang out more now.”

Elsa: “Yeah! It’ll be great.”

Megan: “Hey lover boy. I missed you at the bluffs. Thanks for the invite.”

Troy: “You didn’t say you had a girlfriend Troy…not that I’m jealous or anything.”

Troy: “Oh no, no. I don’t have a girlfriend.”

Megan: “Yet.”

“Excuse me Troy I just have to age up for the second time tonight.”

No! No, no, no! My plans. My plans to have Elsa and Troy as a couple were foiled when he got the serial romantic aspiration and now they are double foiled because she is a young adult and too old for him. I guess it wasn’t meant to be.

I know you will be disappointed. I am disappointed. I have to fix this, I will fix this!

Unfortunately Megan is still a teenager, still very pretty and Troy can’t keep his eyes off of her. So he says goodnight to Elsa at the end of the party and resumes his date with Megan at the ancient ruins.

It was at the ancient ruins that Troy had his very first kiss.

Being a part of the renegades Troy and Megan are no strangers to trouble and not following rules. They completely disregarded this sign as they took full advantage of the bushes.

Megan: “Oh I’m so glad you decided to take me here after the party Troy. I was a little worried you had some feelings for your childhood friend.”

Troy: “Oh Elsa… ha…of course not. We are just good friends and I guess she is too old for me now anyway. I should stop talking. I’m really glad you came. This was a lot of fun Megan. Definitely something we should do again.”

And so that brings us to the end of the chapter. Now that both eligible heirs are teenagers it’s time for a heir vote! Who will carry on the Doodle Legacy? Jack Doodle or Troy Doodle? It’s your choice!

The Doodle Legacy ~ Chapter 25

Hello again! Lovely to see you on this page, how are you doing? Are you all caught up and know what is going on? If you are a little foggy here is a bit summary of last chapter. Laura and Louis finally tied the knot, settled down and had two gorgeous boys Jack (In the blue, yellow and pink hat) and Troy (In the bear hat) who are both very interesting to play.

Boys… Boys! Wake up!

I think Troy’s lazy trait is catching – even Jack spends his nights snoozing on the sofa now.

Just kidding. They are pretty interesting to play. Jack loves school, homework and being a goody two shoes. Troy really does love napping. His other hobbies include playing on the monkey bars, video games and not doing his homework. Plus as you can see in this photo they are both adorable.

Anyway I’m rambling a little about the boys (I really do love them), back to the summary. Even though I love the boys I kind of wanted some cute blonde babies so at the end of the last chapter Laura and Louis got pregnant for the third time and – oh boy looks like someone is in labour already!

“Get this thing out of me NOW!”

Yikes now you are all caught up it’s time to go to the hospital.

Louis followed Laura to the hospital but instead of doing the panic dance he caught up with his buddy, Ronald the Doctor.

“Oh, hey Ronnie! Didn’t expect to see you here mate. How’s it going? Busy day? Any plans for the weekend?”

“Honey do you mind not distracting the man that is about to operate this terrifying piece of machinery to remove our baby from my delicate body. Do you not remember the last time when the doctor accidentally pulled out my heart because you distracted him with your flailing arms dance.”

“He was just impressed by my dance moves.”

“He thought you were going to pass out. Anyway you seem a lot calmer this time around.”

“Third times the charm right Ronnie? How’s your family anyway?”

Thankfully Ronnie the doctor was very focused. He helped Laura to give birth to a beautiful girl named Nayeli Doodle.

Laura and Louis made it home just in time for Louis’ birthday party from young adult to adult.

Louis whipped up his own hamburger cake whilst Laura changed out of her hospital gown and into her party gear. Then Louis was ready to blow out his candles and get old.

Louis’ transition into an adult was made a little easier by seeing both Brian and Ben had grown into elders since he last saw them.

Louis: “Whew it sure does feel good to still be young and hip.”

Brian: “Hey, I will have you know grey hair is the latest trend.”

Ben: “Yeah and you won’t be laughing when you get beat by a couple of old geezers. I have a great hand going here.”

Meanwhile on the sofas the actual young and hip guests were leaving dirty dishes all over my floor.

“Ha! Does she not know that as the sim player she can now drag and drop the dirty dishes into the bin for us?”

Ha! I think not. My role is not to clean up after you pests.

If you are wondering what happened to the newborn, Nayeli was safely transported to the nursery. She had plenty of company during the party because the guests all adored her and flocked to the nursery. Jack also adores his new sister, as long as she keeps quiet and doesn’t cry.

The day after the party there was somehow still some cake leftover.

“Really Troy? Cake for breakfast?”

“Mm… yeah? What’s the problem mum?”

“Well it’s hardly the healthy start you need to your day. You will be high as a kite for a few hours and then napping on the sofa straight after.”

“But mummmmm. I catch you eating Dads baking in the early hours of the morning all the time. Also you are exaggerating about the napping, I hardly ever nap.”

“Suit yourself Troy.”

~ A few hours later ~

Jack: “If Troy is going to sleep all day he could at least do it in his bed. How am I supposed to concentrate with his snoring in the background.”

Troy eventually woke up from his all day nap and started on his homework whilst Jack worked on some extra credit.

Jack: “I have finished my extra credit homework in record time. Maybe I will get another A tomorrow!”

Troy: “I have finished my homework too! Can we play games now?”

Troy lied. Troy hadn’t finished his homework. Troy was 50% into his homework when he stood up and looked happy like he had finished it when infact he had not. I didn’t notice until he was at school, I was bested by a computer child.

The next day after school Jack and Troy joined the league of adventurers. I bought Get Together and I’m actually pleasantly surprised. I always found it hard to get sims to do things together in a group and I wanted to try get my sims to be more social so I really like this expansion. Windenburg is lovely too.

Jack and Troy made some friends outside of their tight-knit family group whilst pretending to fight space monsters.

Whilst they played, I explored Windenburg. It’s so pretty. I won’t bombard you with photos as I’m sure there are plenty on the internet already.

Troy and Elsa really hit it off, I caught them cloud-gazing together half way through the club gathering. They both seemed sad when it was time to go home.

Thanks to the league of adventurers, Jack now had some friends his own age. He decided to start his very own homework club because he loves homework.

Blonde Kid (Lucas): “Jack… who is that in the corner?”

Jack: “Oh that’s just my mum, ignore her.”

Lucas: “Um… it’s a little hard when she is jumping in trash wearing nothing but a nightshirt, socks and fluffy bunny slippers.”

I didn’t take many photos of Nayeli as a baby. Now that I’m 5 generations in the baby stage photos are getting a little samey. Instead here is a photo of the adorable Nayeli all grown up. Nayeli is a cute blonde baby!! Unfortunately as Nayeli is a girl she won’t be eligible for heir.

Nayeli rolled the bookworm trait and the whiz kid aspiration.

Outside the celebration of  Nayelis birthday was in full swing. The idea of a weenie roast was a sore spot for the family since the death of Tierra at the last weenie roast Laura threw. I want to try get gold medals for all the parties and surprisingly enough the previous weenie roast did not get gold.

The weenie roast was going well, fairly uneventful…

Until Louis’ seat caught on fire.

Louis: “Mmm… Honey, these hotdogs are delightful. Is it just me or is it getting awful hot out here?”

Laura: “Well we are sitting beside a fir- OH MY GOD YOU ARE SITTING IN A FIRE!”

The weenie roast party must be cursed. I will never get the gold medal if you all keep dying on me! Louis seemed relatively unfazed.

Louis: “What kind of idiot puts log seats this close to the fire anyway?”

Eventually Louis got off the burning log to be all heroic and manly extinguishing the fire. I imagined him making sound effects to go along with the action in this photo.

“PHhewwwwwwssssssh!”

Louis saved the day and nobody died. The family all headed inside, changed into pajamas and had a cozy night in together.

The only reason for this photo is to show you how cute the onesies are!

“Yeah I’m pretty adorable.”

The next evening Elsa invited Troy to hang out at the ancient ruins. You would think kids would have some sort of curfew but apparently not.

I had never seen the bushes (except in the advert that shows it being used for woohoo) so when Elsa hopped into the bush I thought maybe they were going to play a game or something…

Until she hopped out and the bush was greeny and smelly. Gross.

Troy: “Heh-heh.”

Troy didn’t seem to care too much.

In fact I think it made him like her more. The two get on really well, they are best friends!

Elsa: “Smile for my ‘I just peed in a bush’ selfie!”

Whilst Troy spends a lot of time hanging out with Elsa, Jack continues to hang out with his study buddies. He invited Nayeli to the group since she also enjoys homework.

Don’t worry once the homework is finished they do actually go outside and play.

It was time for Jack to grow up into a teenager. Jack spent his last few hours as a child playing games with his childhood friends.

The whole Doodle family was invited to the birthday party but unfortunately the dining table was too small to fit everyone. The fast sims squeezed around the table to enjoy dinner prepared by Louis.

Laura and Louis did very well with their celebrations for this birthday. It’s not often I get my sims to time their celebrations right.

Wow. Clown shoes. Even Jack looks disgusted.

“What. Am. I. Wearing?!”

A quick clothes change had Jack looking more himself.

Jack rolled the romantic trait for his second trait and the computer whiz aspiration. It wasn’t what I was expecting or would have chosen for him but it’s not awful. We can work with it.

Overall it was a fairly quiet party. To be honest the whole family was really tired except from Laura. She just keeps on going. I found her outside in the pool in the middle of the night just having a swim.

My focus may have shifted to the kids a teeny bit so it was time to take Laura out to join a new club and do some partying. Laura decided she was a little too old for the Partihaus club but the Good-timers shared some of her favourite hobbies: Drinking beer and playing games.

“Ha! I play so many bar games I could do this without even looking.”

“Oh really Mrs Doodle? Would you like to bet on this game? Loser buys the next round of drinks?”

Things got a lot more serious when free drinks were involved.

Mila: “Mmm… Drinks taste so much better when they are free.”

Laura: “Shut up and drink your Rootbeer Mila.”

Back at home Troy was hanging out with the League of Adventurers.

Troy had been getting on pretty well with Max Villareal lately. Whilst playing by the monkey bars Max asked Troy if he would like to join the Renegades Club. Troy wasn’t really sure what the Renegades were all about but he agreed happy to be making new friends and joining more clubs.

“The Renegades are just a cool group of my friends Troy. We are a pretty friendly bunch who just like to chill out together.”

“Oh cool, well I like chilling out. Count me in I guess.”

Troy: “Hey Elsa, seeing as you are sort of my friend would you like to join the Renegades with me?”

Elsa: “You can’t join the Renegades Troy! They are mean! They go around breaking toilets and causing mayhem!”

Troy: “Nuh-uh. Trevor says they just like chilling out. They want me to be in their group.”

Elsa: “I’m not sure I suit the style of Renegades very much Troy. I’m sure you will have lots of fun though. Just don’t forget to hang out with me too yeah? Not that I care if you hang out with me or not. Boys are gross.”

Inside Louis was reading a story to Nayeli by the fire.

Whilst Jack got to work building up his programming skill.

Jack, Troy and Elsa have been spending more time out of the house meeting new people. Jack and Nayeli particularly like the library to catch up on homework. Troy doesn’t mind as there are computers at the library on which he can play video games.

It was at the library that Jack met Yuki Behr.

“Hello, sorry excuse me. I know you are busy but do you have a pen I could borrow? Sorry I’m Jack. I’m in your class at school.”

“Oh hi! You do look familiar. Of course, let me get you one.”

“Thanks. They sure gave us a lot of homework to do today huh?”

“Uh yeah I guess. I kind of like homework though.”

“Oh me too! It’s a little nerdy but I had my own study group as a kid.”

“No way! You are not part of one now then? You should try joining the avant gardes if you are looking for some people to study with. I’ll be there.”

“That sounds like fun. I’ll have a think about it. I guess I will leave you in peace to concentrate. See you around.”

Apparently from that moment on Jack was smitten. He didn’t leave her to concentrate – instead he watched her with love sick puppy eyes from across the room.

…and then he moved seats and continued to gaze at her as if she couldn’t see him.

Troy was quite content to play video games whilst Nayeli did homework with the study buddies and Jack stared at his new crush Yuki. Troy’s best friend Elsa was nearby to annoy Troy for a while.

Elsa: “La la la my name is Troy and I loooove Elsa. I follow her everywhere she goes even to the library. Elsa is the queen of the world.”

Troy: “Ew gross! You totally followed me into the library. Everyone knows I’m cooler than you anyway – oh man! You made me die!”

Elsa: “Wahahaha! Move over loser, it’s my turn.”

Elsa eventually left to go home and Troy got bored of video games so he went for a nap whilst his sister Nayeli finished up her extra credit. His nap lasted so long he was the last one left in the library.

Now I think I might go for a nap too, so that is the end of this chapter. Next chapter will have birthdays, more parties and a heir poll! Thanks for reading 🙂

 

The Doodle Legacy ~ Chapter 24

Welcome back to the Doodle Legacy. Last chapter Laura threw a lot of parties and she still has more to go. I may never throw a party again once this aspiration is complete. Louis moved into the house with Laura and proposed. Laura actually said yes! She is finally ready to settle down. This chapter starts off with Laura on the treadmill.This may be the first time she has ever used one.

“Hey! I exercise plenty. I suppose some extra exercise wouldn’t hurt to help me fit into my wedding dress. I need to look my best for Louis.”

I honestly think Louis would think you look good even if you turn up in a bin bag.

“Oh goodness, what was that? I thought you were supposed to lose weight on this stupid machine not gain it!”

Laura I think this is the game telling me you are pregnant.

“Well no point carrying on with this nonsense then. I’m going to see if Louis has any freshly baked goodies out to cool in the kitchen.”

Don’t you want to go tell the father the good news first?

“Oh yeah. That’s a good idea, thanks.”

“Sweetie I have some news that will make you very happy! I’m pregnant!”

This is not the reaction I was expecting.

“Yeah what’s with the face Louis? I thought you wanted a big family.”

“But…but babies are hard work.”

I’m starting to wonder if these bad reactions are some sort of glitch. I don’t think I have ever had a father smile at the news of a baby.

Moving swiftly past some potential relationship problems and onto the wedding. We need to make it official before the baby comes and Louis runs away.

Laura’s insane trait makes an appearance at the oddest of times. Louis doesn’t even blink an eye at Laura’s hissing minutes before the ceremony is about to start.

The guests all piled in to watch the ceremony. It was a very sweet ceremony and they both looked very happy.

Up front is Gregory the red head who sort of dated Laura for a little bit. Is he watching the ceremony with relief or regret?

When the ceremony was over Brandi made her way down to the front to give her sister an autonomous hug. These two have always been very close and it’s heartwarming to watch them interact.

It was then time for all the guests to pile back outside and throw confetti around. I actually remembered to bring a wedding cake to the venue this time but I forgot to take a picture.

The doodle family and all their friends danced the night away.

Except from Brandi who lived up to her bookworm trait by reading at the bar for most of the night. I have a feeling this generation would have been very different if Brandi had been heir.

Back at home Laura and Louis adjust to living life as husband and wife. There is however one sim who does not want Laura to happily adjust to living as Louis’ wife. Apparently Gregory who I mentioned earlier had watched the wedding ceremony with feelings of regret because he now phones Laura all the time to ask her out on a date.

“I’m currently sat in my kitchen, heavily pregnant, with my gorgeous newly wed husband who is cleaning up my dishes in just his underwear. My husband looks very good in just his underwear. So for the fifth time no, no I would not like to go on a date with you Gregory.”

Laura’s baby belly is very quickly getting huge.

Louis: “Oh you are getting so big honey. Maybe it’s triplets! How exciting.”

Laura: “It had better not be triplets! The thought of giving birth to one is terrifying enough as it is.”

Louis: “It will all be worth it when our beautiful baby is born.”

Laura: “Easy for you to say. I know you are right though. Deep down I’m excited too.”

Ghostmother Tierra arrived that night and she was also very excited when she heard the good news.

“Babies! Sweet little grandbabies! I can’t wait to haunt their cute little faces.”

“GrandbabY. Just one.”

“Oh sweetie look at the family tree. Multiple births has been a part of this legacy for a long time. Good luck teehee!”

Laura spent the majority of her pregnancy napping on the sofa.

When she wasn’t napping she was making out with Louis. Have I mentioned how adorable they are as a couple?

Laura’s third trimester sped by and before I knew it I was taking a picture of Louis’ scared new baby dance outside of the hospital.

Louis actually made it into the delivery room but he probably just made Laura more anxious with his constant panic dance.

“It’s a boy. It’s one baby boy. Ooh you are so cute I could just eat you up right now.”

I was genuinely shocked to find it was one single baby boy. Meet Jack as chosen by the random name generator.

Louis was smitten with the new baby when they arrived home.

A party was thrown to welcome Baby Jack to the Doodle family. It was just a small party with only family invited so they could get to know Jack. It also gives me a chance to introduce you to some of Laura’s nieces and nephews who are just growing up so fast.

You have met Aisha before in the bright yellow skirt.

This is Kyleigh Doodle, daughter of Brandi and Rivers. Behind Kyleigh is Cason Doodle who is the son of Antoinette and Brian.

The handsome redhead is Kyleigh’s older brother Joshua, who is now all grown up. He was adorable as a kid and he is now very handsome as a teen.

It wasn’t long before Laura had exciting news of a second baby for Louis.

“But honey we have already had one baby boy… that’s all we need for the legacy.”

“I’m just going to pretend you are smiling and as excited as I am because I am so happy right now Louis! Be happy with me!”

That’s better!

Time sped by as it always does when there are babies in the house. Having an angled crib makes really awkward photos. There’s just no way to catch them popping out of the crib in a nice “ooh sparkles” kind of way when the crib is at an angle.

Here is Jack, after his makeover, cleaning up the mess from his birthday party. I didn’t take many photos because I have to be honest these parties are blurring into one. Actually that is a lie I did take one photo.

Cason Doodle has now grown up into a teen. Cason and Joshua melted into one whilst picking up some fish tacos. What a wild party.

Anyway back to cute little Jack. Jack rolled the rambunctious scamp aspiration and the good trait. He gets on well with his mum and dad, cleans up after everyone and loves to do homework. He hadn’t even been to school yet when I took this photo.

Jack gets on well with his cousin Kyleigh who likes to come round to the house and play cards.

One day when Antoinette popped around for a surprise visit Laura went into labour. Not even a chocolate donut made by Louis helped the pain.

Louis gasped. “Not the last chocolate donut!”

When Louis figured out Laura was in labour he ran around outside flailing his arms for a little while.

“I just don’t know what to do! What do I do?! Maybe a massage? Is that silly?”

Actually that is probably a good idea Louis.

I didn’t even need to tell Louis to do this. He just did it.

Shortly after Laura gave birth to another boy.

Meet Troy Doodle.

Yet again Louis rushed upstairs to meet the newest addition to the family. He was over the moon to have another son.

Louis wasn’t the only sim excited to meet the new addition. Jack was thrilled to have a new baby brother to play with.

Louis and Jack are very close. Louis’ aspiration involves reading to his children and Jack is more than happy to help out. He loves spending time with his dad and Louis loves spending time with his son.

In fact the whole family is very close. They are just so sweet to watch!

Time sped by and it was soon Troy’s birthday. Troy rolled the rambunctious scamp aspiration like his brother and the lazy trait.

Troy really lives up to this trait spending a great deal of time in bed. I gave him a cute bear hat because I figured he would be the ‘too lazy to do his hair so stick a hat on it’ kind of guy.

Here is a slightly better photo of Troy’s face. I’m pretty happy with how the boys grew up but I was hoping for some blonde babies.

So it’s time for baby number 3!

“Oh come on now, even I’m not smiling anymore.”

Let’s just get this over with. Go tell Louis so he can be grumpy for no reason.

“Again?! Why? What did I do to deserve this?”

“Oh I don’t know, you are family orientated. You want a successful lineage. Those are just some of the things you did to convince me you wanted a big family. ”

Aside from Louis’ disappointing reactions to the news of a new baby he is a great father. He spends as much time as he can with his sons.

Louis and Laura are also still adorable as a couple. Just incase you forgot. I really love this photo of them.

I think I’m going to wrap this chapter up here. Next chapter will bring more cute babies. Let’s hope it’s just one and not surprise triplets.

The Doodle Legacy ~ Chapter 23

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! or whichever holiday you prefer to celebrate at this time of year. I hope you had a good one! Last chapter things got a little mopey but picked up at the en-

“A little mopey? I lost both of my parents.”

Well… alright so they got a lot mopey but things did get happier towards the end.  The 2 day sad blue moodlets are gone, Laura met a new handsome fellow and we are now at the point where Laura has a massive house all to herself in which she can throw lots of parties for her party animal aspiration. Laura is just away to invite her guests to a… um does this party have any particular theme Laura?

“Isn’t it obvious? It’s a pancake and cake party.”

Ben: “Man I love Laura’s pancake and cake parties.”

With the guests satisfied with pancake and cake Laura and her new handsome fellow Louis head outside the house for some private time. Things are going very well between the two… maybe we will hear wedding bells soon.

At the end of the night, once all of the guests had gone home, Laura got on with her favourite chore: tending Titus’ garden.

Laura: “Remind me why I still bother doing this?”

Titus: “This garden was my lifes work. It’s a family keepsake, it has to keep going.”

Me: “It’s all about the money.”

Laura: “Ugh but it’s so big, it takes up so much of my time. I could have thrown another party in the time it takes to weed one box.”

Titus: “The garden is a quarter of the size it was in my care, you missed a weed darling.” Titus paused to sigh. “Perhaps you should move someone in to take care of the plants for you. That man Louis seems quite nice.”

Laura: “Ugh did she put you up to this? I’m too young to get married! I will carry on the legacy line soon. I promise. I don’t want a husband and kids getting in the way just yet. I have plenty of time.”

When Laura isn’t throwing parties she is attending parties at her family, friends and neighbours homes. Today is her sister and best friend Brandi’s birthday into adulthood.

Laura invites Louis to the family parties to get to know everyone. I discovered Louis’ family orientated trait whilst he was bonding with Laura’s nieces and nephews. He is perfect!

The next party that Laura and Louis attended was the birthday of Antoinette (Laura’s sister in law, married to Brian). Louis gets on really well with the whole family which makes him perfect marriage material.

Laura: “Could you stop with the hinting? I will get married when I am good and ready. I’m still young, I have time.”

Are you sure? Your niece Aisha is already a teenager.

Laura: “Hah! Don’t be silly, of course she isn’t a teenager. That would make me really old.”

Aisha: “I’m right here Aunt Laura.”

Laura: “Yikes! You are a teenager. I didn’t recognise you in those nice clothes. Though your skirt is quite bright…”

Aisha: “Yeah thankfully I outgrew that weird child phase. The shades and cool kid jacket are long gone. Now I’m starting to think about what I want to do when I grow up. I don’t have long to go!”

Laura: “With everyone around me growing old maybe it is time for me to settle down… I can’t believe I just said that.”

Antoinette blew out the candles in the corner of this tiny room making it really hard to get a picture with all the guests in the way, thanks guys.

Whilst Laura celebrated her sister in law’s birthday she also began to worry about her future and carrying on the legacy line…

…and so the next day Laura invited Louis to move into the house. He was literally jumping with joy.

Louis is family orientated, self-assured and romantic. He has the successful lineage aspiration. He is the perfect family man for a legacy.

In his spare time Louis has picked up doing the gardening and learning how to bake. I think I might open a bakery with him once the many children they will have grow up.

To celebrate her new housemate Laura of course throws a party and dresses in one of the fanciest dresses she owns.

“Hey any excuse for a party and formal wear right? I’ve even hired a caterer so I don’t have to do anything.”

“Here is the lovely spread I have prepared for your guests.”

Uh… what?

“Enjoy! Oh goodness me, look how many guests there are. Better go prepare some more food!”

Is this some sort of joke?

“Just coming with more delicious home-made food. I hope you are all hungry!”

So once I realised the caterer was completely useless Laura got to work making up some meatballs or gumbo or something messy and red.

Laura: “If I get this on my dress I will be so mad at that joke of a chef. If she even dares to come back to this fridge to pull out more unprepared fo-

Laura: “Deep breaths Laura. Count to 10. Let the anger evaporate from your body.”

“I am just going to pop this down here incase anyone in this room gets hungry!”

Get out of my kitchen! Better still get out of my house!

“You are sending me home early? Well I must warn you it will still be the full price you pay.”

What a scam. The party ended not long after the “chef” left. Somehow we still managed to earn a silver medal.

The next day Louis and Laura settled into life living as a couple. They prepare their meals together, Laura cooks dinner whilst Louis bakes the sweet. Laura is now very confident at the stove following her previous attempts at setting the kitchen on fire. She even shows off and does tricks.

Instead Laura attempts to set fire to the bedroom by lighting candles next to wooden ornaments.

Louis is no help. He just runs around with flailing arms.

Thankfully ghostmother Tierra is on hand to save the day.

Louis: “RUN LAURA RUN. IT’S BURNING SO QUICKLY. WE MIGHT DIE.”

It’s burning so quickly they both had time to change out of their pjs and into their clothes.

Tierra: “Idiots. How they survive without Titus and myself is beyond me.”

Don’t worry, they both survived the fire. The house was a little smelly and smokey though so Laura decided to throw a party off the lot until the maid cleaned the bedroom.

To spice things up a bit it’s a costume party because i caved and bought the extra party pack when it was half price.

The guests all look great. Louis is dressed as death, Brandi is a clown and Laura… where is Laura?

“Don’t look at me and definitely do not laugh at me.”

Why would I laugh? You make an adorable hotdog.

“I’ll take another drink to go please.”

Really Laura? Two drinks?

“One for each hand. I will need a lot of liquor to make it through this party. Everyone can stop judging me now. I see all of your judgey eyes!”

“SEe now I don’t care I’m an adult dress as a hotdog and I’m ready to dance the night aswayyy…”

Laura: “Welp once I’ve been to the bathroom. All of those drinks have really made me need to pee-pee. Be right back Louis sweety.”

Louis: “Hurry back baby. My romantic trait is making me flirty and somehow you are really turning me on in that hotdog costume.”

I stopped taking pictures of this party here before it got any messier. You don’t need to see death making out with a hotdog.

The next day it was time for round two or three or four. The partying never stops for Laura and today was a very special day. Louis is looking a little worse for wear.

Louis: “I’m sleepy, bloated, I have a sore head and I really need to pee. How does Laura do this all the time?”

Laura: “Happy birthday toooooooooo ME!”

The guests spend most of their night at the bar. Apparently the women in the Doodle Family really like a drink.

Bartender: “Please can you all form an orderly queue and stop waving at me?”

Brandi: “Ooh me first! I was here first. I’ll take a Zebra Fizz please.”

Antoinette: “Don’t serve her first, serve me! I’m having a light night so I guess it will just be a Granny Smash please.”

Laura twirled her way into adulthood with confetti all around.

That wasn’t so bad was it?

Laura: “Oh I guess not. I’m still feeling fresh and in the party spirit! Now to dance the night away with my family, friends and lover. Speaking of where is Louis?

Apparently he has been hanging out in the bathroom for a while but I have no idea why.

Louis: “Ah, finally! You came to the bathroom! I’ve been waiting in here for ages. One second it’s stuck in my pocket…”

Laura: “Louis, oh my gosh, what are you doing?”

“Laura you are the most energetic, friendly and loving sim I have ever met. You are slightly insane and I love you even more for it. Will you marry me?”

Really living up to your romantic trait there Louis.

Laura: “Shut up don’t ruin my moment! Just look at this rock! Of course I’ll marry you!”

Louis: “I was hoping you would say that.”

Laura: “I hope you are ready for me big boy!”

Louis: “Oh sweeet mary and joseph.”

Laura: “Alright sweetie?”

Louis: “I’m fantastic. You said yes.”

The Doodle Legacy ~ Chapter 22

The Doodles are back after the death of the lovely generation 4 heir: Titus. Things are a little sad and a little mopey at the moment but don’t let that put you off. It gets happier… I promise!

Following Titus’ death the ever-growing graveyard was visited even more so than usual.

With Titus gone, the massive garden he had lovingly grown was passed on to Tierra. Things in the garden got a little soggy as Tierra watered the plants with her never-ending tears.

Laura’s birthday came and went with not much of a party for her usual party animal self. It was too close to Titus’ death and with the whole family suffering from the dreaded blue moodlets I kept my sanity by just baking her a cake. Laura rolled the insane trait for her last one. Oh dear.

Don’t worry though, she makes up for it later by throwing all of the parties in her young adult years!

Tierra and Laura supported each other through the tragic event and eventually the tears started to dry up.

Things were looking up for the doodles and the blue moodlets were clearing…

Until Laura set herself on fire making pancakes.

“I’m too young to die! I still have so many parties to throw and attend.”

Thank goodness I remembered to install sprinklers to this kitchen.

“I’m alive?”

No thanks to your cooking skills. You are now banned from the stove.

“I’m alive!”

Whilst Laura was gambling with her life, Brandi brought a new life into the world. Meet Joshua Doodle.

Yet again Grandma Tierra was smitten with the new baby.

Laura was no way ready for her own baby (She can barely keep herself alive at this point) but she makes a great fun aunty. She loves hanging out with her niece and nephew and she makes some great silly faces.

With the whole family round at Brandi and Rivers home we got to meet Brian’s daughter Aisha all grown up for the first time.

Aisha: “Sup homey, sorry but I can’t stay long. I gotta bounce! Going to get crunk at some mad party yo”

Brian: “Come on Aisha, it’s time for your bed. You have school in the morning.”

Aisha: “Ughhh Daaaaad. Could you be any more embarrassing?”

This is not what I was expecting. The shades and the jacket are something else.

That night when Tierra and Laura got home they got a surprise visit from a lonely ghost. Tierra and Titus were quick to reunite themselves and things were back to normal. The sad moodlets were gone and the mopey times were over. Hooray!

Laura got herself a job in the entertainment career and a fancy microphone to practice her comedy routines on. She may need a bit more practice yet.

When Laura isn’t at work she is throwing parties. Laura decides to host a child friendly Weenie Roast for her niece and nephew.

Aisha: “S’up losers. Weenie roasts are so lame. Who wants to hit up da clubs with me yo?”

Joshua is all grown up and adorable. He got his father’s red hair! It’s so nice to see something different from the black.

Tierra is in charge of the grill whilst everyone else gathers around the warm fire.

Laura tells the best stories and everyone gathers around to listen to them.

Aunt Regina attends the party (In the back with the coloured plait and still rocking the crop top despite being about 120 years old) and she is still going strong. I’m pretty sure she was older than Titus and yet here she still is. She is going to outlive the legacy at this rate.

Laura also attempts to play some tunes on her guitar. It’s not as bad as when she first starting playing guitar but it’s also not great…

“Hey I heard that!”

You might have also noted in these pictures Antoinette’s massive bump. Yes Brian and Antoinette are expecting another baby!

Everyone was having a fab time at the party and then the camera zoomed in on Tierra. Oh no. Tierra you don’t look so good – please tell me you cooked the chicken properly on the grill?

“Of course I did! I’m fine dear… I think I might just lie down on this spot and have a nap though…”

Aw shucks! They have literally just gotten over Titus’ death!

RIP Tierra. You made a great spouse, you had some lovely babies and I enjoyed playing the doctor career with you. Now who is going to look after Laura and cook her meals?

and so it was time for Laura to yet again cry out her pain under her duvet.

Laura decided to take up the new wellness hobby to bring herself some peace following the death of both parents.

Mostly she just lies down on the yoga mat. I have a feeling she is just taking sneaky naps.

With Titus and Tierra now in ghost form the large garden was passed onto Laura to look after. She wasn’t that thrilled as it takes up large chunks of her time. Eventually I did some downsizing.

Laura’s sister Brandi just happened to be jogging past that morning. She looks pretty miserable following the death of her mother but she does also have a very big surprise!

It was just the thing I needed to cheer my sims up. Laura was delighted to hear she would be an Aunty again and Brandi even managed a smile whilst her sister felt the baby bump.

Laura threw herself into her work and spent a lot of time writing funny jokes on the computer. I love watching insane sims using the computer. There is always a lot of hand gestures and talking to self/inanimate objects.

Laura started to go out in public to share the jokes that she wrote. Here Laura met her first two fans!

Whilst out one day to perform another comedy routine Laura bumped into Gregory, the handsome sim she met as a teenager at her sister’s wedding. Feeling confident from a well-received performance Laure asked him out on a date.

Laura and Gregory headed to the local bar. They chatted for a bit…

They danced for a bit…

and at the end of the night Laura and Gregory had their very first kiss.

You could look a little bit happier Gregory.

A sleepy Laura headed home after the date to make some pancakes. Tierra haunted nearby to ensure laura didn’t set herself on fire again.

The next day Laura decided it was time to visit her brothers and sisters. It had been quite a while and it was time to see the new babies!

“Oh Ben, it’s been far too long brother. Why do I feel like someone I don’t know is watching me?”

Laura: “Why is this kid staring at me?”

Kid: “My mum said you were my Aunty but I have never seen you before. Aisha says you have the biggest bum she has ever seeen and I wanted to see for myself.”

Laura: “That little snothead.”

Ah shoot looks like Antoinette has given birth and the child has grown up already. Meet Cason everybody! What a cutie.

The family enjoy some grilled cheese together whilst Laura tells enthusiastic stories and gets to know her new nephew. Aunt Regina is nowhere to be seen and a quick double check of Laura’s relationship shows Aunt Regina as a ghost. I knew it had to be coming, she had a very long simlife. Probably all that healthy eating and exercise.

Aisha apparently doesn’t do socialising with her family and chooses to watch cartoons instead.

“Eating dinner with the fam is for losers yo, Cartoons are where it’s at! Plus there would be no room for me at the dinner table with Aunt Laura’s big butt! Yoooo sick burn!!”

Laura from dining room: “I HEARD THAT YOU LITTLE TWERP.”

The next day brought a trip to the park for the Doodle Family. Laura considered inviting Gregory but their entire pink bar had depleted in a really short space of time so I figured it just wasn’t meant to be. It had taken so long to fill the stupid bar and it was such a struggle that I just gave up even though I wanted his red hair for cute redhead babies.

Meanwhile in the background Ben is sitting with a cute girl… will Ben have a romance of his own?

Lady: “So all I have to do is transfer you 1000 simoleons? Is it really that simple?”

Ben: “Of course sweetheart. Then I will give you some vocal coaching with a complimentary photoshoot to get your face out there and known. You will be a popstar in no time!”

Hm I should have known you weren’t actually looking for love. I doubt you have any experience to give someone real vocal coaching.

Ben: “What can I say? I’m just a lone wolf at heart. And of course I do. I’m a professional.”

Brian is also in the park today. I’m glad to see you are keeping up your fitness even without me controlling your every move.

“Gotta work hard for the gains baby.”

Whilst I was pestering Ben and Brian, Laura bumped into this handsome young sim I may or may not have downloaded from the exchange in a young adult legacyloves pack. My game was just so empty of young adult males! Everywhere Laura went it was elders or females.

Laura: “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! That was so silly of me to ‘accidently’ bump into you.”

Random man: “Oh I don’t mind people bumping into me when they are as pretty as you.”

Laura: *blushes*

Laura and the pretty man decide they want to stare at clouds together. Whilst chatting Laura discovers pretty man actually has a name (it’s louis) and that he has the good trait. So far so good!

Laura tests the water with a flirtatious joke and already Louis is giving her this look. It took only one flirty joke to get Louis flirty.

Laura: “Now this is more like it! Fancy a cup of coffee handsome?”

With Gregory no matter how hard I tried or how many flirts I used he just never got flirty and the pink bar inched up slowly. One flirty joke with Louis and his emotion bar turns pink. I think we may have just found Laura’s new husband!

Laura: “Jesus are you trying to scare the poor guy away?”

Since get together isn’t actually out yet Louis and Laura headed to the nearest bar for some drinks and a place to flirt the night away…

…Well they would be if it wasn’t for for the third wheel loudly munching chips making the conversation awkward.

A quick move to the next table sorts the mood out. When Louis flashed the crazy eyes at goofball Laura I knew they were meant to be.

“Louis I don’t normally kiss the guy on the very first date…”

*Ahem* Sorry what? Never ever? Not even once… or twice?

“Would you take some cough syrup and get out of here? You are ruining the moment. Anyway as I was saying… I think what we have is special Louis so I am just going to go for it.”

Oh alright I have to admit they are pretty sweet together. Maybe I will get some cute blonde babies next gen!

This is where is where I am going to end this chapter. Will Laura and Louis actually get together or will she change her mind for the billionth time?

The Doodle Family ~ Chapter 21

Last chapter Laura became Heiress. At first the idea horrified her but I think she is slowly coming around. Brian and Ben both moved out of the house, Brian with a new wife and a baby on the way and Ben with plenty of plans to continue terrorizing everyone he meets. Brandi finally admitted her feelings to River and they became a couple.

Sometimes in the sims it feels like things go really slowly and nothing is happening. At other times things go by so quickly and loads of things happen in a short space of time. This chapter felt like it was one of the latter.

A couple of days after Brian and Antoinette’s wedding, where Brandi and River finally became a couple, Brandi decided River was the sim she was destined to be with so on an outing to the park she got down on one knee and proposed.

Rivers: “Uh… isn’t it meant to be me down on one knee?”

Rivers: “Oh but look how shiny the ring is! Gosh now what? Do I jump into your arms now or…?”

Brandi: “How about we just make out for a bit then go for a burger?”

Laura tagged along on the outing wanting to support her sister and best friend Brandi. The relationship bar between the two can’t get any higher.

Whilst enjoying some burgers Laura and Brandi met Boy in the blue cap. They also met Boy in the crop top but Laura was less impressed by him.

Crop Top: “Hey sweetcheeks, fancy a smooch?”

Laura: “Sorry I don’t date men with tops shorter than my own.”

Boy in the blue cap however did impress Laura and it wasn’t long before hearts were floating around my screen.

In fact boy in the blue cap was even Laura’s very first kiss.

When Laura and Brandi returned home from the park that night Titus received the pop up to let him know he only had a few days left… it was time to speed things up. There were things I wanted him to do and see before he passed away.

So the very next day a wedding party was hosted. Titus and Tierra are such a sweet couple.

The guests all arrived ready for a day of partying. There was one guest that caught my eye however… Antoinette is looking pretty uncomfortable here. Could she be in labour?

I spy a pre-parental panic dance, Antoinette is definitely in labour! Well this is going to be a fun filled wedding. Antoinette be a dear and keep the thing in your belly until after the party please.

Brian: “Sweet’ums… do you really think you should be drinking that with a baby on the way?”

Antoinette:”Are you the one about to squeeze a melon out of a pringles tube? No I didn’t think so. So I am going to have this drink to make this whole thing more bearable and you are going to stop judging me. Okay?”

Brian: “Yes dear.”

The guests all made their way through the middle of the archway to watch the ceremony. Hey look Laura, Boy in the blue cap who is now in a yellow jacket to match your dress is here!

“Oh no.”

What? What is that face for? You were all over him last night!

“Yeah… but I have decided I don’t fancy him anymore. Last night we were just goofing around. Why are we wearing matching outfits when we have only kissed once? This is too much too soon. I need to scope out the market. Party. Have fun. All of that without someone glued to my side in a matching yellow blazer.”

Brandi: “Honey, Antoinette looks really uncomfortable. Maybe we should stall and do this another time.”

Rivers: “Babe this is my -I mean our- day  You look beautiful, I look beautiful and your family have gone to a lot of effort to make this day special for us. I know how important it is to you for your father to be here today. I love you and I want to be married to you. Today. I just can’t wait.”

Brandi: “You’re right. You are so right. I love you too, let’s do this. Let’s get married!”

Rivers: “That’s more like it! Besides Antoinette isn’t doing that badly… you won’t even notice she is in labour.”

Brandi: “I do.”

Antoinette: “OHhhHHHhHHhh the agony. OhhhHHHhHHH the pain! Get this thing out of meeeeee!!”

Rivers: “Can I kiss the bride now?”

Don’t worry guys I can use different angles to hide the screaming pregnant lady.

D’aww what a beautiful wedding ceremony.

Antoinette: “ARGHH I Think this thing is bigger than a melon!”

Despite the slight bump Brandi and Rivers had a fantastic wedding day. The party was a big success and everyone had a fabulous time. Well Antoinette maybe didn’t have a fabulous time but she will have a fabulous baby at the end of it.

Laura Doodle may not be feeling the love for boy in the blue cap anymore but she has taken a shine to Gregory here.

They end the evening watching the stars together. Laura isn’t even bothered by the slight matching of outfits with Gregory. Unfortunately Gregory is already a young adult so this match will have to wait.

Brandi and River share their first slice of wedding cake together before jetting off on a pretend honeymoon and moving into a large luxury home together. Aren’t they just adorable?

The night after brought with it another party but this time it’s a birthday. The guests arrived dressed smartly for a quieter, cosy dinner party.

Laura: “Dad! Brian! Why the heck are you in fancy dress? This is meant to be a sophisticated dinner party.”

Brian: “What? The invite said fancy dress.”

“No it did not you baboon. Could one of you please get changed and help me prepare dinner. The fridge is broken and spouting black fog, the floor is covered in puddles and piles of rubbish AND I have a 3 course meal plus birthday cake to prepare.”

“Dad I’m sorry If I was grumpy…I know everyone expects me to be the fun, goofball one but I just want this party to be perfect for mum.”

“Sweetheart your mum will love it however it turns out. Last year someone didn’t even get her a cake or throw a party. Last year a certain someone completely forgot your mother’s birthday altogether.”

Alright, alright! I get it I’m a bad simplayer. You know you could have got the cake last year Titus!

The guests squeeze into the small dining room and enjoy a delicious meal. Brian still isn’t convinced about the whole fancy dress thing.

Brian to himself: “They must all think I look silly being the only one dressed up but I know for a fact this outfit makes my muscles look even bigger and more impressive. Now who is laughing.”

Laura: “HAPPYYYYY BIRTHDAYYYYYYYYY DEAR MOTHERRRRRRRRRR. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.”

Everyone rushed to the cake for a slice before heading home after a lovely evening.

Titus and Tierra make the most of the remaining time they have left together. I’m really glad they got to be a cute, old couple together even if it was for such a short space of time.

It was time for Titus and Tierra to meet their new grandchild so the doodle clan all met up at Brian and Antoinette’s home.

Ben: “Hey it’s my home too! Aunt Regina lives here too y’know.”

It’s a baby girl! Meet Aisha Doodle. Titus is smitten. I’m so glad he got to meet his grandchild before passing away.

Tierra gets the biggest smile when she meets Aisha for the first time.

Brandi also has some special news. When did her bump get so big?!

People start to gather around the table for a meal kindly prepared by Aunt Regina but one person is missing…

Ben is the first to find his father on the living room floor. Is it just me or is death in the sims 4 more emotional than the sims 2? The hula girls really helped to ease the pain of death in the sims 2.

Soon the whole gang is gathered around. The next few days are not going to be pretty.

RIP Titus. You were a great heir. You had a loving and successful marriage. You produced fabulous offspring together, a beautiful garden and completed a few of your lifegoals.

and so Tierra, Laura and probably the rest of the doodles present at Titus’ death cried it out in bed over the next few days. It was pretty miserable.

The Doodle Family ~ Chapter 20!

“Great. I’m a little busy though, couldn’t you have waited to tell me after my ‘relaxing’ bath.”

Well I just came straight you tell as soon as I loaded up the game. You could look a little happier… I thought this would be good news for you.

“I was serious when I said I didn’t want to be heir; popping out babies, being a mother, finding a serious grown up job. I just want to party, meet new people, drink my bodyweight in Snaggle Fusters… can you go annoy one of the others so I can finish my bath in peace?”

Fine I will go see what your brothers are up to, I can see where I am not wanted.

“Great.”

Uh… Brian… why are you naked? and why do you now resemble a flesh coloured hulk?

“Ben said I was too chicken to go for my morning jog in the nude. Ha! I sure showed him. Now who is laughing?”

Probably Ben… it’s a good thing you are pretty…

Ben why is your brother running circles in the garden, completely naked, in the freezing cold?!

“Hahah that oaf. I have this family wrapped around my little finger. I’ve almost convinced Aunt Lucy she has won the lottery but needs to pay tax before she can claim the prize money.”

On second thoughts I think I will go check on your parents.

Oh jesus.

“Teeheehee Titus… wait stop I feel like we are being watched.”

Alright I’m going! Brandi must be doing something interesting…

I should have guessed this is what you would be up to.

Brandi: “What do you mean?”

Alright Bieber, I mean that that camera must be superglued to your hand. Everytime I see you, you are taking a selfie! Nevermind. So any romance blossomed between you two yet?

“No!! We are just friends!”

I really need to do something to liven this family up.

Oh finally. Are you two done now?

“Mhmm… I may be old now but damn I’ve still got it!”

Gross. Well it’s time for you to freshen up because we are having a party!

“I’m down for that. Theme?”

Isn’t it obvious?

It’s halloween of course! a couple of days after halloween.  many many days after halloween.

The Doodles all spin into their chosen halloween outfits and troop downstairs to the party room.Tierra is a pretty hot witch, Ben is of course a sneaky ninja and Brian shows off his muscles in a spartan hoplite costume.

But where are the rest of the guests…?

Why are you all outside in the glorious sunshine?! Get into my basement now!

Please.

I figured the bartender was the root of the problem here so I got rid of the bar outside so he would be forced to use the one in the basement.

I finally got the bartender into the correct party room and slowly, very slowly the guests came down to join in the fun.

Brandi and Laura are the first to try out the fancy new pumpkin carving station. Laura opts for the cool dead zombie school survivor whilst Brandi geeks out in the Aayla Secura outfit. They both decided to carve cute cats into their pumpkins.

I have a funny feeling this pumpkin carving was done by a certain sneaky, mischievous ninja trying to subtly disappear out of the room. Very classy Ben, very classy.

Just as the party was turning around for the better all of the party food went off. Thankfully only one silly Sim ate it. Can you guess who? Yes it was Brian. The food was good for creating a spooky atmosphere but not so good for the Brians tummy.

Due to the shortage of edible snacks downstairs all of the guests headed upstairs to eat the spooky cake I made to celebrate Brandi, Ben and Brian’s birthday. Brian was a little miserable after eating loads of the mouldy spooky cookies so he changed out of his outfit.

Titus: “I have a feeling I was supposed to do something important after I baked the spooky cake.”

Hmm… was it put in the birthday candles like I asked you to by any chance?

Titus: “Yeah that was probably it. I guess I better start making a new one then huh?”

Another cake was made and the candles were not forgotten this time. Laura is always the loudest and most energetic of singers.

“HAPPYYYYY BIRTHDAY TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!”

“Eek I’m not ready to be an adult!”

Brandi rolls the cheerful trait which suits her quite well.

Brian gets forced back into his costume and rolls the self-assured trait, with a body like that I am quite sure he is.

Ben is bored of his costume so takes it off and I let him because it’s Ben. Ben rolls the evil trait – no surprises there. He reminds me of his grandmother Mae which is nice because her ghosts seems to have disappeared so I never get to see her anymore.

With the birthdays out of the way I finally got the guests all down into the party basement to have a spooky dance together!

Laura being the party animal that she is went straight to the front of the dance floor and stayed up most of the night, refusing to go to her bed even though it was a school night.

She definitely paid for it the next day after school.

“So sleepy. Need bed. Why do I have to go to school but Brandi, Brian and Ben don’t have to go to work. Why don’t they don’t have jobs yet?!”

Someone is grumpy when they are sleepy. They did only age up last night, I thought I would give them at least a day to adjust.

“Hmph fine. What did they get up to today then?”

They stuffed their faces with pancakes by the pool. Well Titus and Ben did, Brian has a figure to keep up.

Well that and Brian proposed to his long time girlfriend Antoinette. He thought he was the one surprising Antoinette until he got down on one knee and noticed the baby bump. The look of surprise on his face was priceless.

“Honey… uh… is there something you need to tell me before we seal the deal?”

“Yeah this rock is huge! Yes yes yes! Oh… right the bump – we’re pregnant babe!!”

Thankfully Brian took the surprise news well. They are too cute together.

Well no time like the present…

A pretty wedding venue was prepared outside in the back garden. Now all we need is some guests and the bride and groom.

I even coughed up the cash for an entertainer to play beautiful music on the piano. He was totally worth the money –

The guests gathered around the wedding arch using the convenient pathway right through the middle of the archway where the bride and groom were sharing their vows.

They must have been pretty good vows because that is one passionate kiss.

You may note two things in this photo – 1. Laura taking selfies during her brothers wedding and 2. Laura and Aunt Regina turned up to the party in the same dress #whoworeitbetter?

After the ceremony the guests gathered in the party area where the musician finally found the correct piano.

Brian and Antoinette had a pretty steamy first dance together.

It was at this wedding that the doodle family found out some bad news. Aunt Lucy unfortunately passed away. Aunt Regina was pretty miserable all night, the pair were very close.

RIP Aunt Lucy. You were a lot of fun to play and watch. Always talking to your belongings and terrorizing the children since you hate them.

The night ended with romance for another couple.

Brandi finally plucked up the courage to tell (or show) Rivers how she really feels. I can happily say the pair are now a super cute couple!

Following the wedding the happy bride and groom moved into a lovely, large home already occupied by Aunt Regina (to keep her company following Aunt Lucy’s recent death).

Ben also tagged along to live with Brian, Antoinette and Aunt Regina. He particularly likes not having anyone controlling his actions or telling him to wash all of the dirty dishes. Ben was free to be a menace to everyone and anyone in peace.

The Doodle Legacy ~ Chapter 19 ~ HEIR POLL!

It’s been a while but the doodle legacy is still slowly going and it’s even time for a heir poll at the end of this chapter so I can move onto generation 5, almost halfway there! Last chapter brought the last child of generation four Laura, a camping vacation, completion of childhood aspirations and the triplets became teens.

After the teens grew up Laura went to school, Tierra went to work and Titus pottered about in his garden so the triplets went to hang out at the gym together. Brandi went straight to the punching bag and put on her meanest face possible but she still looks adorable to me.

Of course Aunt Regina the bodybuilder was hanging out at the gym too and she was more than happy to give Brian some advice.

“Look at those skinny arms. Do you even lift bro? I want 100 more reps NOW.”

“I’m getting tired Regina, can we take a break?”

“Do you think I got my magnificent 6 pack taking breaks?! GET TO WORK.”

“YES SIR.”

Thankfully Regina eased off on Brian a little so he could watch some funny videos Ben found. The reason she let him take a break may have been so she can go do some more flirting in just her towel.

When they got back home from the gym Tierra painfully aged up into an adult inside a wall.

“I’m surprised you noticed. Missing birthdays is starting to become a thing for you.”

Ouch, that hurt Tierra.

“So did growing up inside a wall with no birthday cake in sight.”

Moving swiftly on because I didn’t throw a party or even bake a cake…

The next day the triplets take Laura to the park so she can make some friends for the social butterfly aspiration. Laura is adorable and goofy, she loves to make silly faces at her friends.

Brandi has the bookworm trait so I stocked her inventory up with books and every now and then she will take one out to read. So whilst Laura plays with her friends, Brandi looks out for her whilst reading what looks like a romance novel. Ooh La La…

Whilst Laura is at the park to make friends, Benjamin is at the park to cause mischief and make enemies. It wasn’t long before a fight broke out.

“Why were you staring at me?!”

“I thought you were kinda cute- I’m sorry don’t hurt me!”

“HA! A likely story. Are you ready for a beatdown?!”

This poor little kid got caught up in the smoky fight and had no idea where to go or what to do other than look absolutely petrified. I think it’s time for the triplets to head home now.

The next day after school the triplets decided to stay at home to avoid Ben getting into any more fights. Brian and Brandi focus on their homework, with the occasional selfie thrown in from Brandi, whilst Ben trolls the forums because homework isn’t his style.

Laura invites over a random kid she met in the park yesterday and completes the social butterfly aspiration. Making friends was really easy for Laura so the aspiration wasn’t actually a chore to finish for her.

Laura picks up the rambunctious scamp trait as her second highest skill is the motor one.

Which now means Laura spends a lot of time in front of the computer typing and playing games.

Brandi rolled the successful lineage aspiration but until she becomes an adult she can’t get started it. So Brandi spends her time working on her writing skill because I think she would make a good author, her head is always in a book.

Ben is hard at work trying to to complete the chief of mischief aspiration. No one in his relationship panel is safe from the prank calls and emails. One of his favourite targets is Aunt Lucy. You probably can’t read it but the blue pop ups make me chuckle, especially when paired with Ben’s reaction.

Titus’ garden is really growing in size and we are starting to make a bit of money off of it now. My current plan is to try and graft fast growing plants with blackberries and dragon fruit to really rake it the cash. Plus I need to make this garden manageable for when Titus isn’t here to properly look after it.

With the extra money from the garden the house gets a little bit of a makeover and some extra treats. Ben’s personal favourite is the jacuzzi bath.

“Oooooh that jet is pulsing in all the right places!!!”

Gross.

It’s time for another trip to the park with the teens. Brandi takes some more shameless selfies and for some reason everyone else looks miserable. The teen with ginger hair is River, a friend that Laura made in granite falls who is all grown up and very cute now. I just need to decide (or let the game decide) if he is better suited to Brandi or Laura when she grows up.

In the meantime though Brian and River become good friends bonding over funny videos from the internet.

It’s a big night for Brian. He meets the very pretty antoinette and they hit it off straight away. Brian is very quickly smitten.

It wasn’t long before Brian had his very first kiss.

Unfortunately for Brian by this point it was very late and very dark so the trio calls it a night and heads home.

“Hey over here! Look at me! I’m upside down!”

That’s cool. Can you hurry up and become a teenager soon though? I didn’t realise you were so much younger than the triplets.

“Nah I’m having fun just hanging out here. My brothers and sister are all so boring now they are old. I don’t want to be boring I want to have fun allll the time.”

But I have a heir poll to run…

“Yuck! Being heir sounds like way too much responsibility and no time for fun. I don’t want to spend my time popping out babies to carry on the family line.”

Well tough luck Laura, your second aspiration is complete and the cake is in the oven. It’s time for your to get old and boring I’m afraid. The heir poll will begin at the end of this chapter.

“Shh don’t distract me! I am so close to beating my high score.”

The family always takes so long to gather around the cake to celebrate.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR LAURA. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUU.”

Laura heads straight to the wardrobe for a quick makeover.

The next day brings yet another birthday but this time with a fancy buffet complete with fruit punch fountain! I decided to actually throw a party for this one. It’s not everyday your heir turns into an elder!

That’s right Titus is about to get old. Titus and Tierra run to the bedroom for one more woohoo before the guests arrive and Titus ages up. These two are at it like rabbits, they always have romantic whims for each other.

It’s time for Titus to blow out the candles and become an elder! The family slowly makes it’s way over to the birthday cake. For some reason when I try to throw outside parties with all the music, buffet and drinks outside all of the guests want to hang out inside the house playing video games and watching tv.

Everyone looks so excited and happy to be celebrating Titus’ special day. They even enthusiastically throw some confetti.

As soon as the cake is cut the guests come rushing out of the house to join the party.

Brandi spends the night drinking cocktails with River whilst telling him elaborate stories. Brandi is turning into quite the storyteller, hopefully her stories will make the family some money some day.

Laura keeps getting the whim to play an instrument and one of the party requirements is to have a sim play an instrument for a couple of hours so I kill two birds with one stone… and give everyone at the party tense moodlets in the meantime. This is the first time Laura has ever touched an instrument never mind played one. I love the intense concentration on her face.

Meanwhile Ben terrorizes the guests. How the family got a gold medal for the party I will never know…

Life goes back to normal when monday comes around and the teens have to go to school. It looks like some people had a better day at school than others. Ben is sleepy, Laura and Brian are mad for a silly school reason I can’t remember and I guess Brandi is talking to Rivers. Laura has a great angry face though.

Laura calms herself down by hiding under the living room sofa.

The teens head upstairs to work on their homework. Well at least Brandi works on her homework, Brian and Laura spent the whole time chatting. Ben doesn’t even start his homework preferring to nap in bed.

…and when Brian actually tries to do some homework too Laura starts goofing around and making funny jokes with the homework book. All Laura ever wants to do is goof around and have fun.

Despite having different personalities Brandi and Laura get on really well. They bond over the fact they both love a selfie.

Unfortunately though only one of the sisters can be heir to this family and you get to choose which one!

Will it be the nerdy but adorable bookworm Brandi? When Brandi was younger she was a rambunctious scamp and loved creating her own adventures. Now Brandi is older and more mature she dreams of writing books about adventures. Brandi is slightly more serious than younger sister and her goal in life is to have a successful lineage – a perfect aspiration for a heir.

The sociable goofball Laura, all she wants to do is have fun and party! Laura had a successful childhood completing two aspirations (Social Butterfly and rambunctious scamp) but she always made sure she had fun doing it and made plenty of friends. Laura is never too serious and does have a slight fear of responsibility however I’m sure her silly ways will make for an enjoyable and funny generation. Being the youngest sibling of generation 4  Laura still has a lot of her teen years to go and figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her simlife.

The Doodle Legacy ~ Chapter 18

I have played ahead in the legacy and I am close to heir poll time so I guess I better keep going with these chapters! Last chapter Tierra and Titus finally got pregnant resulting in yet another set of triplets: Brain, Benjamin and Brandi. The aunts Lucy and Regina moved out due to tension between Lucy and the kids (she has the hates children trait) but also to make room because Tierra is now pregnant for the second time! Here is the confetti shot because I didn’t show it last time.

“Teehee I’m pregnant again!”

“Oh god what if it’s triplets again.”

Why is the Doodle family so fertile? I’m starting to think it may be a glitch.

Of course pregnancy doesn’t stop Tierra from going to work. Apparently Lucy and Regina have become very sickly since leaving the doodle household as their hospital trips are becoming a daily thing.

Tierra: “I’m not sure I’m even allowed to treat you being a family member. This feels a little weird.”

Lucy: “Tierra it has to be you. I need a doctor I can trust. You may be shocked to hear this but your co-worker is actually an alien in disguise who plans to poison me to retrieve valuable information I own.”

Tierra: “I am going to have to swab you for a sample now. Open your mouth wide and no more talking for a while.”

Lucy: “Huh…huh…Tierra… I need you to slow this down I can barely breathe.”

Tierra: “I’m sorry Lucy but this is a routine test that’s required for your diagnosis. Plus it scores me points for a promotion.”

Lucy: “Oh my god… YOU ARE THE ALIEN TRYING TO KILL ME!”

Tierra: “Nope just a regular old doctor who thinks you might have Sweaty Shivers.”

Regina: “Come on! This is a breeze, I can run so much faster than this.”

Tierra: “Regina this isn’t a race, I’m trying to figure out if you have bloaty head or starry eyes.”

Regina: “So you are making me run why…?”

Tierra: “You requested this test! Why oh why did I agree to treat family?!”

When Tierra gets home from work that night Brian and Ben are queuing up for hugs. I really love this little part of the sims 4, it’s sweet.

Here have some more cuteness! Brandi is getting excited to be a big sister.

Tierra and Titus’ love life is vibrant as ever even with a bun in the oven. You two better be careful and not make it two buns in the oven!

Titus: “Can’t hear you I’m already inside the bed.”

Ah pregnant sims, always needing to pee but they can never remember where the bathroom is.

It’s time for another family field trip. This time they are off to the Landgrabb mansion because Titus is on the search for new plants like tulips and cherries that grow near here. Unfortunately to take a cutting of the plants you need to wait on the lot for the plants to grow. I figured they could just go to the mansion and hang out inside for a bit.

Or y’know what would be more fun? Hanging around a campfire outside the house because I forgot that with aging on the Landgraabs are all dead and no one lives in this house anymore.

Lucy: “This is lame. Let’s go home sis.”

Titus: “No wait! I was just about to light the fire and we can sing songs together.”

Brandi: “Uhh… Dad is this safe? Have you ever lit a fire before?”

Titus: “Don’t worry kids, Dad has got this!”

Brian: “I’m worried. Where did mum go? We should definitely be telling her what is going on.”

Ben: “She went home, mumbled something about agony and being in labour but I don’t know what that means.”

Titus: “Please don’t tell your mum! It’s just a little scratch really.”

Titus: “See guys, isn’t this fun? It’s a good fire if I do say so myself.”

Brandi: “Thank goodness I have a stash of books in my inventory.”

Time slowly crept by on the Landgrabbs lawn but thankfully the tulips eventually grew and the cutting action became available.

“Ugh I’m far too uncomfortable to cut plants after sitting on those old camping seats all day!”

Please tell me you are joking.

“It would require far too much energy to take a small sample of this plant.”

Here drink this and quit moaning. This trip will not have been for nothing.

“But I’m too uncomfortable to do ANYTHING right now.”

Titus you are such a pain. Drink it, cut the plants and then get home. I’m a little worried about your wife.

“WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! THE BABY IS COMING.”

Oh dear. I hope this hasn’t been going on for long…

“JUST NAME THE BABY AND LET THIS BE OVER PLEASE.”

It’s a miracle! A single, baby girl miracle.

“My beautiful, sweet baby Laura. I think it’s time you meet your daddy. Mummy is in need of nap.”

Tierra you might want to support her head a little bit.

“I just said mummy needs a nap so you better keep quiet and get Titus. Now.”

Yes sir!

Titus skipped the baby freak out and went straight to being a very smitten father. Watching Titus look after Laura was very sweet.

The same goes for Tierra who was great with baby Laura. I didn’t even really need to command her to look after Laura, she just did it. Tierra autonomously breastfeed Laura whenever she started crying and she did the majority of the nappy changes. Sometimes she would just come upstairs to bounce Laura to calm her down.

The triplets didn’t really pay much attention to the new baby, they preferred each others company. Brian and Brandi became BFFs pretty quickly.

Brian and Ben get on really well too when Ben gets some time off his strict painting schedule. Now that there are no more hates children sims the kids can actually enjoy the dollhouse without fear of its destruction.

The baby stage always goes by so quickly (thankfully) even though I leave them to age up on their actual birthday. Here is Laura popping out of her crib. We have a second social butterfly in the family but this time with the goofball trait.

Laura heads straight outside to make some friends. Apparently Grim thinks it is now safe to wander close to the doodle household following Mae’s death.

Grim: “Only during the day though. Her ghost is out at night and I’ve heard rumours it’s worse than when she was alive.”

Laura: “Hey mister my name’s Laura! What a silly costume to be wearing during the day. How do you get the fog to work at your feet? Aren’t you really hot in there? Are you a dementor from Harry Potter?”

“Woah there kiddo, enough with the questions. On second thoughts, staying away from the doodle household was a really good idea. I’m out.”

“Woahh… that was so cool! How did he do that?”

With the children all grown up I decided it was time for a family vacation and so with only one possible destination the doodles packed up their inventories and headed off to Granite Falls.

Maybe Granite Falls was a bad idea. Or maybe I should just let Tierra start the campfire since this is the second time Titus has set his arm on fire.

Brandi went straight to the horseshoe game to work on her motor skills

Brian and Laura worked on their social skills together whilst Benjamin played some background music.

Brian and Laura soon became BFFs. Having two social butterfly sims works quite nicely.

Laura also spent her time making some new friends like Rivers here who is adorable. I wonder how he will grow up… hmmm making plans already.

Laura is pretty good at the social skill and making friends. Soon she is hugging strangers she meets near the campsite

Card games were a popular activity, it was just a shame that there were only 4 seats available.

Whilst the family played cards Brandi found a quiet little spot in an open cabin with a comfy armchair and an interesting bookcase where she lost in herself in exciting adventure stories.

They were all able to squeeze around the campfire to toast marshmallows and take turns telling spooky stories.

Titus did a lot of exploring in Granite Falls and soon found a secret entrance.

After following the secret entrance through to a sweet little house Titus spent a lot of time collecting unidentified plants, admiring the pretty scenes and fishing.

All too soon it was time for the Doodles to pack up their tents and head home.

“Thank god, I am getting fed up of the smelly public toilets.”

The triplets birthday was getting close and it was time for them to finish up their aspirations.

Ben did a lot of painting when he got home and completed the creative aspiration.

Meanwhile Brandi played games and practised her typing to complete the rambunctious scamp aspiration.

Unfortunately Brian didn’t have the friends to complete the social butterfly aspiration so I let him go to the cake first.

Brian: “Ahh… phew!”

Laura: “Ahh…choo!”

Brian: “#fitness #buff #shameless selfies.”

Brian grows up into a handsome young man who wants to be a bodybuilder like his aunt Regina. He rolls the trait goofball along with his previous trait cheerful.

Next up to the cake is Benjamin who looks thrilled to be getting older.

Yup still looking really happy on his birthday. #grumpy

Ben rolls the chief of mischief aspiration and the goofball trait. Is he going to take after his grandmother Mae?

Last but not least to the cake is Brandi but no one in the family really cares by now.

Brandi rolls the successful lineage aspiration which I haven’t had before and the glutton trait. So many gluttons. This random generator always gives me a lot of the same things. First it was hates children and now it’s gluttons. I also have a lot of goofballs.
